Next steps
An oath of office ceremony will take place at the Dec. 13 City Council meeting, starting at 5 p.m.:

• Mayor Matt Hall will open the meeting.
• The current City Council will vote on the “consent” items, which will include the certification of the election.
• Newly elected city officials will then be sworn in, starting with the new City Clerk – who will then swear in the others.
• There will be a short break to switch the nameplates on the dais, after which the new City Council will take their seats and proceed with the meeting.
• In addition to congratulating the newly elected officials, Mayor Matt Hall and District 1 City Council Member Peder Norby will be recognized for their service.
• Once the meeting is over, everyone will adjourn to the courtyard at City Hall for an informal reception.
• The meeting and reception are open to the public.
