Bring your dancing shoes, as the Schulman Auditorium will be filled with the sounds of some of the best small jazz combo bands of the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s. Founded in 2015 by swing dancer Morgan Day, Mat Hat Hucksters is a San Diego based band that brings their love of early rhythm & blues and traditional jazz. Fats Waler, Sydney Bechet and Louis Armstrong are just a few of the greats you’ll hear.
Finnegan Blue
Irish Folk/Blue Grass/Funk
Founded in 2015, by siblings Anna Lee and Willie Fleming, Finnegan Blue is rooted in traditional Irish Folk music, but has successfully fused that Celtic pride with rock, jazz and reggae and gospel. The band calls North Park, San Diego home, but has traveled all over the world and across the western states.
