As of June 8, 2022, OverDrive/Libby will require patrons to enter their Carlsbad Library PIN to authenticate their account. This change is for added security and to protect user privacy.

Carlsbad Library Card Number

Your Carlsbad Library card number is the barcode number on the back of your library card. Enter the number with no spaces to login.

Carlsbad Library PIN

Your PIN is the same one that you use to sign into the Carlsbad Library catalog or self-check kiosks to access your account.

I do not know my PIN/Password. How do I reset the PIN/Password on my account?

You may click the My Account link on our website and click the Forgot PIN? link in blue. Enter your library card number and a PIN recovery link will be emailed to you. If you do not receive an email within a few minutes, please contact your nearest Carlsbad Library location via phone, chat, Ask Us, email, or in person to update your information.
