Family Tree Maker

Presented by Cynde Durnford-Branecki

Speaker will present in-person / Presentation will be recorded

Are you new to Family Tree Maker (FTM) or have you had the software for a while but don’t know the ins and outs? Then this presentation is for you! Family Tree Maker has long been the standard-bearer for genealogy software programs since its inception in the 1980s. In this presentation, you will learn the basics of FTM, how to run reports, fix errors, and use filters, and all the rest of the tricks of the trade in FTM. You will also get a sneak peek at the FTM 2024 update coming out later this year!

Learning from Members is a partnership program between Carlsbad City Library and the North San Diego County Genealogical Society (NSDCGS). Participants will learn about various genealogy topics and tips through these presentations offered by members of NSDCGS.

The program is held the second Tuesday of the month from January through November and is presented in person and virtually.

  • Doors open at 9:30 a.m. for social time.
  • Presentations, including question-and-answer sessions, are held from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
