With cooler temperatures and a new year around the corner, the City of Carlsbad has a full lineup of classes and programs to keep minds and bodies active, including sports leagues, fitness programs, senior activities and weekly classes for adults and youth. 

The complete schedule of programs is available in the city’s Winter Community Services Guide, now online. Registration is now open for programs including:

Aquatics (swim lessons, lifeguard training, aquatic fitness)     
Martial Arts (Karate)
Mind/body wellness (yoga, tai-chi, aerobics, cooking)
Dance (Latin, social, club, country line, teen cardio)
Sports (tennis, volleyball, basketball, pickleball)
Sports leagues (soccer, basketball, kickball, softball)
Preschool
Adults 50+

Special interest classes for youth

In addition, the city offers programs such as L.I.T.E. – Leadership in Training & Education, an after-school program designed to provide younger teens in grades 6–9 a place to come and learn essential life skills in a fun and safe environment. We focus on career builders, communication, community service, finances, college, team builders and leadership. Daily homework assistance is also provided.
