Skip the hassle of looking for a parking spot on May 5 at the Carlsbad Village Street Faire. Ride your bike and check it into our complimentary bike valet! A bike valet is like a coat check for bikes. 🚲 Ride your bike or e-bike to the valet check in station at 2965 Roosevelt St. 😎 An attendant with San Diego County Bike Coalition will attach a claim tag to your bike and give you a matching claim wristband 🎉 Enjoy the faire knowing your bike and accessories are kept safe 👏 Check back in to the bike valet station to pick up your bike by 5 p.m. Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce San Diego County Bicycle Coalition Engel & Völkers Carlsbad

We are proud to be a Tree City USA for the 20th consecutive year! Help us celebrate tomorrow at our Arbor Day event from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. We’ll work together to plant trees at The Crossings Golf Course. ▶️Event will include a tree-planting demonstration and informational booths ▶️Volunteers should check in with Sarah at the Parks & Recreation table at the back of The Crossings Golf Course parking lot. ▶️Tools will be provided; volunteers should wear work gloves, a hat, sunscreen and closed toe shoes ▶️Please park alongside the street on The Crossings Drive, not inside The Crossings Golf Course parking lot 👉RSVP to sarah.czech@carlsbadca.gov

2024 Point in Time count
Thursday was the annual Point in Time count, an organized, nationwide effort to collect data on homelessness on the same day over a four-hour period. For the West Coast, the count starts at 4 a.m.
- Locally, the San Diego Regional Task Force on Homelessness coordinates the count.
- In Carlsbad, community members are invited to participate alongside members of the city’s Homeless Response Team.
- The data collected in Carlsbad is one of several metrics we use to gauge the success of our Homelessness Action Plan.
- It also helps us better understand the population experiencing homelessness and how we can best direct resources to address the problem and the effects on our community.
