Preventing storm drain pollution graphic

We all live in a watershed! Storm drains are our neighborhood connection to our watershed, which is an area of land draining to a creek, lagoon or ocean. Rainwater and runoff flow through storm drains and can carry pollutants such as fertilizers, pesticides and bacteria downstream.

Here are ways you can do your part to protect our creeks, lagoons and ocean from your home.

General housekeeping
Home improvement projects
Runoff reduction
Pets
Pool, spa and fountain maintenance
Car washing
Landscaping
Sediment and erosion control
Irrigation systems
Vehicle maintenance
