Guest Artist in Residence Betsy K. Schulz
Renowned local artist Betsy K. Schulz is the City of Carlsbad’s latest Guest Artist in Residence, bringing her inspiring and collaborative work to a series of “Watch and Learn” Pop Up Art events planned at the Batiquitos Lagoon Nature Center over the next four weeks.

New pedestrian bridge installed
A new pedestrian bridge was installed last Friday near the El Camino Real and Cannon Road intersection, an exciting milestone in a key project designed to improve pedestrian safety and help traffic flow more smoothly along one of Carlsbad’s busiest roads.
