    A gas line is being repaired by SDG&E near the corner of Tamarack and Valley. Residents in the area are being asked to stay indoors until the work is complete. The City of Carlsbad Fire Department is on the scene as a precaution. Valley and Magnolia schools have been notified

    Carlsbad redistricting commission close to choosing new district map

    The Independent Redistricting Commission responsible for selecting the new Carlsbad City Council district boundaries will meet for its final public hearing next week, Feb. 17, to discuss potential maps and vote on new district boundaries.
