We need your help!

National traffic safety trends show a dramatic increase in traffic-related deaths, with the first quarter of 2022 showing the highest number of deaths in two decades.

The City of Carlsbad's traffic safety emergency proclamation allowed us to focus increased resources and attention on the three Es of traffic safety, education, engineering and enforcement, using the framework of the Safer Streets Together Plan.

🚲 Bike tires lose air quickly. Tires should feel firm and be filled to the recommended PSI listed on the tire.

🚲 Worn brake pads should be replaced and your e-bikes battery should be charged.

🚲 Check chain for signs of rust or corrosion. Remove excess dirt with a clean rag and replace a rusty chain.

Participants can pledge to bike anywhere on May 18 and be eligible for a t-shirt or prize, while supplies last.
