Welcome to CarlsbadConnects. Here are some quick tips to help you get started.

Website Version

  • Visit www.carlsbadca.gov/fixit
  • Select “Create” at the top of the page to submit a request.
  • Create a login if you want to receive updates about the progress of your request or click on “create anonymous” if you do not want to receive updates.
  • Select a request category from the drop down menu by clicking on “Select a Report Type.”
  • Enter the location or drop the pin on a spot on the map by clicking on the map image under “Where is the problem?”
  • Select the issue type from the drop down menu by clicking on “Tell us more details.”
  • Describe the problem (the more details the better).
  • Click on the “paperclip” icon to add a photo (you can add more later too)
  • By selecting “Keep this request confidential,” your report will not appear for public view on website or within the mobile app; however, your report may still be publicly disclosed if required by law.
  • Click submit.

 App Version

  • Get the free app from your apple or android app store.
  • Tap on the “Request” button on the home screen.
  • Create a login if you want to receive updates about the progress of your request or click on “Create anonymous” if you do not want to receive updates.

  • Select the map image under “Where is the problem?”
  • Enter the location or tap the screen to drop a pin on a spot on the map.

Where can I download the app?

The app is available at the Apple App Store and Google Play store.  

I don’t see the type of problem I want to report.

Check the city website for information on how to report problems you don’t see on the app. For emergencies, always dial 9-1-1.

Do I have to use this new system?

Nope. If you'd rather just call or email city staff without using the app, here's a list of contact information

Do I need to create an account in order to submit a service request?

Most types of service requests can be submitted without creating an account.  The login screen will be presented after you select “Create“ or “Account.”  Choose “Create anonymously” to continue without logging in. Some service request types do, however, require that you login.  These are requests where city staff will likely need to contact you in order to complete.

What will you do with my contact information?

We’ll only use it to contact you about the status of your request. We won’t share it or sell it or do anything else to compromise your privacy. However, we may be required to disclose it under the California Public Records Act or a court order. 

Why can’t I report code violations and other stuff?

We’ll be adding more categories as we go. For now, we started with the most requested services.
