Give input on Robertson Ranch Park

Post Date:07/21/2023 3:00 PM

The city is kicking off the planning process for Carlsbad’s next park. Known as Robertson Ranch Park, the park will be located on 11.2 acres near the corner of El Camino Real and Cannon Road.

Here are three ways you can give input on what you’d like to see included in the park at this very early stage of planning:

In-person workshop
Tuesday, Aug. 8
6 to 7:30 p.m.
Join us at the future park site*
Parking available at Fire Station 3 (3465 Trailblazer Way)

*The park site is undeveloped. Please wear comfortable shoes for the workshop in the vacant lot.

Virtual workshop
Wednesday, Aug. 9
6 to 7:30 p.m.
Zoom
Register online

To request reasonable accommodations to participate in a workshop, please call 442-339-5352 (voice), 711 (free relay service for TTY users) at least 72 hours in advance to discuss accessibility needs.

Online survey
An online survey will be available soon for those who can’t make the workshops. Sign up for emails to be notified when the survey goes live.

Background
The park site is relatively flat, and some of the potential uses mentioned in the Robertson Ranch Master Plan include ball fields, a playground and picnic areas. However, the city will determine the actual uses of park with input gathered from the community.

The park is included in the City Council’s 5-Year Strategic Plan, focused on maintaining Carlsbad’s excellent quality of life and unique community character.
