About the program

Opportunity Grants give Carlsbad residents the opportunity to participate in recreation classes, camps and aquatic programs that they may not otherwise be able to afford. Grants of up to $300 per person are made to low-income families that live in Carlsbad. Families/Individuals must meet income eligibility requirements and complete a grant application with supporting documentation.

Applications are accepted between mid-April and December 31. Applications will be available at all community centers, swimming facilities and online during that time.
