If you or your child were issued a traffic citation for violation of 10.56.020(C)(1) of the Carlsbad Municipal Code, you or your child may be eligible to participate in a department approved Bicycle/E-Bike Safety Course instead of filing charges with traffic court.

Carlsbad Municipal Code 10.56.030: In lieu of a fine or administrative citation as authorized by this code, and in lieu of filing charges in any court having jurisdiction over a violation, the police chief or designee may allow a violator of this chapter to complete a police department provided safety course for regulated mobility devices.
