Teen programs are dedicated to providing teens with fun, creative and healthy activities in a safe, supervised environment. By taking advantage of opportunities to meet and socialize, teens create friendships that last a lifetime.

L.I.T.E. Leadership in Training & Education Program

L.I.T.E. is an after-school program for Carlsbad 6th to 9th graders who wish to develop skills in leadership, teamwork, communication and community service. The program requires a commitment from participants to attend regularly after school from 3 to 6 p.m. Each month will focus on a different theme like the environment, history, health and goals. LITE is closed during school holidays.

Snores & S'mores - EVENT IS SOLD OUT

  • Introduction: Set up your tent in the park for a fun overnight campout and we’ll provide the rest. Enjoy fun games, activities and crafts along with an outdoor movie complete with popcorn and s’mores. Dinner and continental breakfast are provided.

Event is Sold Out

  • Tickets are available by pre-sale only. Admission is $25 per person; children 3 years and younger are free but must be noted in the "notes" section at checkout. All activities and food are included with admission.
  • This safe camping experience is fun for the first-time camper as well as the seasoned pro. Set up your tent in the park for a fun overnight campout, and we'll provide the rest.
  • You’ll dive into a sea of adventure following Marlin and Dory on their journey Finding Nemo. You’ll rescue the school of fish from the drop off, escape sharks and underwater mines in a sunken shipwreck, and have fun doing sea creature crafts. Unscramble the FISH CHARADES During the event, you’ll have the chance the ride the E.A.C., and race into Sydney on a WHALE.
  • Enjoy a BBQ dinner and end the evening with popcorn, s'mores and a movie under the stars. The morning includes a continental breakfast and a hike on one of Carlsbad's many scenic trails.
  • Registration will close at 11 p.m. on Friday, August 13.

Schedule of Events

4 - 6 p.m.

Campers check-in and tent set up (event area opens at 5 p.m.)

5 - 8 p.m.

Family games and activities, face painting, crafts, and BINGO

6 - 7 p.m.

Dinner (hot dogs, hamburgers, baked beans, coleslaw, and chips)
Vegetarian patties and beans available upon request.

8:15 p.m.

S'mores, popcorn and an outdoor movie

11 p.m.

Lights out!

6 - 8 a.m.

Continental breakfast (muffins, fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee)

7 a.m.

Morning hike (optional)

9 a.m.

Event ends

10 a.m.

All camping must be cleared of field
