The City of Carlsbad Parks & Recreation Department offers a variety of special events for the community to enjoy. The department is responsible for two special events functions: creating special events for the public's enjoyment and event permitting for events on city property.

Family Movie Night

  • Introduction: Bring family and friends, a blanket and low-back chair to Stagecoach Community Park for a night of fun activities and a movie presentation on the big screen under the stars.

Watch a movie under the stars at the City of Carlsbad’s Family Movie Night. 

Bring family and friends, a blanket and low-back chair to Stagecoach Community Park for a night of fun activities and a movie presentation of Night at the Museum (rated PG) on the big screen under the starts.

  • Enjoy a movie-themed FunZone with bounce houses, obstacle races, crafts, games and activities from 5 – 7 p.m.
  • Wristbands for the FunZone can be purchased for $5 at the event.
  • Our feature presentation Night at the Museum (rated PG) will start at dusk with a run time of 1 hr 48 mins.
  • Food and beverage sales available between 5 and 7 p.m. Menu: Pizza, nachos, hot dogs, ice cream and popcorn.

Event may modify or cancel due to inclement weather.
