The Calavera Hills Community Center is getting a new roofStarting in March, the city will start a roof replacement project for the Calavera Hills Community Center, which we anticipate taking about 3 months. Crews will also be repainting the concessions booth. During this time, programs will keep running as scheduled. You may hear some noise during the day, but crews will work to keep interruptions to a minimum. We'll keep you posted on all the updates as the project develops. Located in northeast Carlsbad near the intersection of Carlsbad Village Drive and College Boulevard, the 21-acre park is also home to an active community center that offers preschool programs, youth day camps, classes for all ages and open gymnasium play.

- Monday - Friday: 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
- Saturday - Sunday: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Dogs and Parks
The City of Carlsbad welcomes dogs at Ann D. L'Heureux Dog Park, Alga Norte Dog Park and Poinsettia Dog Park. Leashed dogs are also allowed on citywide trails. Dogs are not allowed in any other city park or on beaches within the city.
Plastic bag dispensers and receptacles for cleanup are available for your convenience at dog parks and along trails. Please be a good neighbor and clean up after your dog.
