This 5.9-acre park is located blocks away from City Hall and the I-5 Freeway, on the corner of Chestnut Street and Pio Pico near Carlsbad’s historic Barrio neighborhood. It is also adjacent to the Library Learning Center. The park contains many distinct features, including a gazebo, horse shoe pits, and the Kruger and Scout Houses. Holiday Park is one of Carlsbad’s oldest parks.

Dogs and Parks

The City of Carlsbad welcomes dogs at Ann D. L'Heureux Dog Park, Alga Norte Dog Park and Poinsettia Dog Park. Leashed dogs are also allowed on citywide trails. Dogs are not allowed in any other city park or on beaches within the city.

Plastic bag dispensers and receptacles for cleanup are available for your convenience at dog parks and along trails. Please be a good neighbor and clean up after your dog.
