Located in northeast Carlsbad, the park contains a short trail that connects it to the Ann D. L’Heureux Dog Park.

Formerly known as Larwin Park, the 22-acre park site is divided by a large canyon containing vegetation that supports the California gnatcatcher, an endangered species. The majority of the park will remain undeveloped open space.

Dogs and Parks

The City of Carlsbad welcomes dogs at Ann D. L'Heureux Dog Park, Alga Norte Dog Park and Poinsettia Dog Park. Leashed dogs are also allowed on citywide trails. Dogs are not allowed in any other city park or on beaches within the city.

Plastic bag dispensers and receptacles for cleanup are available for your convenience at dog parks and along trails. Please be a good neighbor and clean up after your dog.
